Normal Rockwell once painted a dreamy and idyllic Thanksgiving Day dinner scene, celebrating an extended and loving family, which famously graced the cover of “The Saturday Evening Post,”
Dreamy and idyllic indeed, compared to the reality of the requisite annual invitations to certain extended family members and relatives, boorish and crass, who often exhibit cringe-worthy bad behavior (and that’s BEFORE the sherry!).
Ahhh, but at the end of the day, warts and all, it still IS family.
As the drumsticks and good and big pieces are now memory, and we rummage through the refrigerator to find the remaining turkey salad; Vlad hopes that you all had a very nice Bird Thrashing, uhmm…Thanksgiving Day dinner together!
